Cabrinha Drifter

A revolutionary kite, Cabrinha’s Drifter is a simple yet technologically advanced product. It features a minimalistic three strut design that helps keep the profile of the kite intact while also reducing its weight, making it a breeze to use. The Drifter’s canopy is tight and results in flutterless, quiet flying. In light to medium winds the kite generates smooth power in both turns and straight lines.

With square wing tips and a moderate delta design the Drifter offers instantaneous turning and provides great positional feedback. It is best suited to surfing but also does well in freestyling and wakeboarding. It flies brilliantly straight from the bag but relaunching is a little slow and it has less jumping ability than more freeride-dedicated designs.

Because the Drifter sits naturally aft in the window it offers superb static balance that gives it excellent slack line drift ability, hooked or unhooked (slack line drift is a kite's ability to stay aloft even when its lines are temporarily slackened by depowering). It also features the new Quick Link control bar, an uncluttered and intuitive system with design changes that make it quick and easy to use. In combination with the durability, light weight and responsiveness of the kite, the Drifter is great for the summer season.
